This product is a surface mounted intumescent fire & smoke seal available in brown or white finishes. No routing is required.

Use

This product only takes minutes to fit to door frames. A least a 3 ½ mm gap is required down the closing stile and accross the door head. It fits directly over hinges, making it easier and quicker to fit. Once fitted the face of the seal can be painted. Brush smoke seals should never be painted though. 

Performance

This product has been tested employing the general procedures of BS476 Part 22 (1987) and achieved a fire ristance integrity of up to 60 minuteds. The intumescent strips have been successfully tested to BS476 Part 23 (1987).
