Nationwide Fire Extinguishers fire extinguisher training course is designed for persons who may have to use an extinguisher in the workplace. This course will provide those who attend with greater awareness of the threat posed by fire to people, property and businesses and is designed to increase their confidence in the action to take if a fire should break out in the workplace.
Candidates attending our fire extinguisher training course will learn about the theory of combustion, causes of fire and methods to safely fight fire. Differences in the types of fire and correct use of relevant fire extinguishers are discussed during the course. Those attending will also use a Live Fire extinguisher training unit to understand how to use fire extinguishers correctly and safely. By the end of the course those attending should: Know their safety obligations under the law, know the importance of a safe evacuation, know how to prevent fire and limit the spread of fire and be able to select and use a range of fire extinguishers.
Fire safety "information, instruction and guidance" for staff is a requirement under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. Nationwide Fire Extinguishers fire extinguisher training course satisfies staff training requirements as required. The fire extinguisher training course is a two hour course that can be carried out in your workplace to reduce downtime. All course material, handouts and extinguishers are provided for a maximum of twelve candidates per course.
